Freedom

Life after running the Software Association of Oregon is a wonderful, creative and educational experience.

I am taking some time to help some friends and causes with challenging projects, and starting some new endeavors of my own.

I am grateful for the opportunity to learn about organizing community that the SAO and its many wonderful members taught me, which I will take with me in whatever I choose to do next professionally or personally.

Thus, Rabble-Rousing Inc. is the working title for the next chapter.

These are crazy times - economically, institutionally, environmentally - everything is in flux as old models are exposed for their inability to be sustainable, flexible and humane. This is the window for change that I've been waiting for...and I'm not going to let it slip by!

I want to be free to use my time to make much-needed changes in the institutions and economies that will affect generations to come. I know it sounds like I'm positioning for a political run or something (i would rather gargle glass), but I'm just jazzed to be independent and focused on things that I feel really matter...it's time to kick some ass and do some rabble-rousing!
